<p>The City police have cracked the recent murder case of a homealone woman Zabina Taj in Bommanahalli and arrested five people, on Wednesday.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The arrested are Mohammed Farooq (30) of Gounapalli village in Kolar, Ilias (24) of Anekal, Keval Ram (30) of Gounapalli village, Ajay Kumar Shetty (40) of Laggere and Sadiq (28), a resident of Bommanahalli.<br /><br />While Mohammed and Ilias worked as coolies in KR Market, Keval Ram ran a tea stall in his native village. Ajay worked as an auto driver and Sadiq was a house broker in Bommanahalli.<br /><br />On November 23, a gang of five men murdered Zabina Taj at her residence in Bommanahalli and robbed her of gold ornaments worth Rs 10 lakh and Rs 40,000 in cash.<br /><br />Murder for gain<br /><br />Establishing that it was a murder for gain, the Vyalikaval police swung into action and arrested a man who was trying to sell gold ornaments at a pawn shop in their limits.<br /><br />During interrogation, he admitted to having murdered Zabina Taj with the help of four others.<br /><br />Based on his information, the police arrested the other four members. <br />The police have also recovered 280 gram of gold ornaments and Rs 37,000 in cash.<br /><br /><br /></p>
