What you just cannot miss about the clothes from Arrow is the perfection that the brand has in design, cut and colour. It keeps pace with the changing tastes of young people and gives them exactly what they want.

Standing out in the crowd

The latest collection for this winter is ‘Arrow New York’, which has been designed to appeal to the young. ‘Arrow New York’ stocks slim and lean-fit shirts and trousers, versatile jackets and stylised winter wear.

Talking about the philosophy behind the designs, Rishi Vasudev, COO, tailored clothing and sportswear division at Arvind Brands, says, “Inspired by New York, the line features a monochromatic style that fits in equally well on the trading floors as well as for an evening of socialising and networking.”

He points out that the reversible jacket, the detachable panel jacket, checkered shirts and formal flat-knit blended tees can be worn under a blazer or simply with formal trousers.

Rishi stresses that the unique point of the collection is the slim-fitted formal wear, which makes the wearer stand out in a typical work environment.

Rishi feels that today’s youngsters want to stand out, no matter what the situation is. “However, when they reach the working age and get into the corporate world, they have a limited choice with typical trousers and shirts. To fulfill the current gap in the market, Arrow has launched ‘Arrow New York’,” he shares.

The collection for women is no less stylish. The ‘Arrow Woman Fall Winter 2012’ has been tailor-made for the urban woman. “The latest line has a more girly look with cowl necks, cascades, tie-up blouses and printed dresses. To complete the winter needs and to suit the light Indian weather, the collection also offers light knits and cardigans in bold hues such as teal and plum,” explains Rishi and adds, “For the casual evenings, there is a range of sequinned tops, bandage dresses and leather jackets.”

Rishi feels that the items must be complemented with cardigans and lightweight jackets. “Men could add a scarf or a slim-knitted tie, edgy cufflinks, socks with an interesting design and leather shoes which have a slight twist. And for the not-so-formal occasions, maybe even adding a hat would help,” Rishi notes.  And for the women, Rishi says “Add a large leather hobo bag, ballerinas for the day and high heels for the evening, some bling and sparkles with dangling earrings and bracelets.” This, he feels, is perfect for a ‘New York chic’ look.
