Jacintha's brother speaks out

Naveen Saldanha, the brother of nurse Jacintha Saldanha, has flayed media reports that his sister died of shame.

Jacintha allegedly committed suicide after becoming the unwitting victim of a prank call made to a London hospital  where Kate, the wife of Prince William, was undergoing treatment.

Naveen said whatever had appeared in a section of the press and attributed to him (Naveen) was false and baseless. “I have not spoken to any media — print or visual,” he said and added that the family was already under stress and that the false reports had put the family under duress.

A family member said Jacintha’s mother was told about the tragedy on Monday evening. “She is inconsolable,” the family member said.

The family member added they had no  news about bringing the body to India.
