Sreejith was brought down by Herald outside the penalty area and was awarded a free-kick. Deepak Panth’s perfect ball was headed home by Arunjeet. The goal spurred on the Army outfit and Thomas did well to parry away a long-ranger by Ramachandran in the very next minute. <br /><br />The story was no different in the second half and ASC doubled their lead in the 65th minute as Nitesh’s left-footed shot from the box beat Thomas.<br />ASC killed the game in the 74th minute after Sudhir Kumar scored off a pass by A Saikh from the left wing. <br /><br />Though Students Union pulled one back in the 82nd minute through Philip, it was too little too late.<br /><br />Earlier, Dayananda scored the winner as Bangalore Kickers edged out ISRO 1-0 in the A Division.
