JD(S) to attend all-party meet

Leaders of the Opposition in the two houses of the legislature, party presidents, MPs, Union ministers from the State have been invited for the meeting, to discuss the relief measures for flood victims of North Karnataka and the rehabilitation programmes planned.

“We plan to come up with suggestions to effectively implement the rehabilitation programmes,” JD(S) State Working President C Narayanaswamy said.

JD(S) leaders H D Kumaraswamy, H D Revanna, M C Nanaiah and N Cheluvarayaswamy will be attending the meeting. KPCC President R V Desphande said his party will take a decision after mutual consultation on Sunday morning. Most of the Congress leaders are yet to return from Raichur.

Union Minister Kharge, who was in the City on Saturday, will not be able to make it to the meeting as he will be in Kochi.
