Steps taken to prevent assault on women

State law minister Suresh Kumar said the home and law department will take joint action to prevent incidents like rape and outraging modesty of women.

Speaking to presspersons here recently, he said it was a tragedy that the number of rape cases were on rise in Delhi and Bangalore. The society should become sensitive to such issues. Moral education will be taught in the colleges.

“We are looking forward to the verdict on the case related to the appointment of Chandrashekaraiah as Upa Lokayukta. Later, we will initiate measures to appoint the Lokayukta,” he said.
