Jain religious meet today

A religious conference will be held as a part of  Lakshadeepotsava of the Thousand Pillar Basadi, in Moodbidri on December 25.

According to a press release, the conference will be held  under the guidance of  Charukeerthi Bhattaraka Panditacharyavarya Mahaswamiji, Moodbidri Jain Mutt.
The religious conference will be inaugurated by Arjun Singh and.Sangeetha Arjun Singh, the couple from Johr Bagh, Delhi.  Dr Ham Pa Nagarajaiah will deliver key-note address on the subject, “The concept of Saraswathi in Jainism”.

A slide show of the idols of Saraswati collected from all over the world will be held. Industrialist  Sunil Jain from Rohtak, Haryana will release the book, “Saraswati Shatashtanamavali,” published by Dhavalatraya Jainakashi Trust.

MLA  Abhayachandra Jain, Dr Vidyadhar Shetty and  Pushparaj Jain will participate . Panchamrita abhisheka for Lord Chandraprabha Swamy and Lakshadeepotsava will be conducted along with the religious and cultural programmes in the night.
