5 arrested for murder

The Kadugodi police on Friday claimed to have solved the murder of a Jaya Karnataka Association member by arresting five persons. The arrested are: Sunil Kumar, David, Muttu, Sunil alias Suni and Bharath.

The gang allegedly hacked to death Anil Gowda, president of Jaya Karnataka Association, Hoodi village, in January over an old rivalry, said the police.

Anil and Sunil, relatives, were involved in some land dealings. Sunil owed money to Anil and had delayed the payment. Apparently irked over frequent demand to make payment, Sunil, police said, plotted Anil’s murder.

According to police, the gang followed Anil in a car  and rammed their vehicle against the bike Anil was riding on ITPL Road. They came out of the car and hacked him with lethal weapons before absconding.

In another incident, Hulimavu police arrested four persons in connection with a murder. The arrested are Arjun, Sunil, Kumar and Imran. They allegedly hacked Suresh — a resident of Konanakunte — to death on January 6 over an old rivalry, said the police.

According to the police, Suresh used to harass Arjun for money which led to his murder, said the police.
