The return of northern cold waves has brought down the City temperature significantly in the last few days.
The City had been experiencing a summer-like situation in the first week of January. This was mainly due to the low pressure area in the Tamil Nadu coast, which recorded high temperatures in winter. With the disappearance of the low pressure, the cold waves have improved in interior Karnataka.
According to the Meteorological Department, Tuesday morning recorded a lowest temperature of the season at 14.2 degree Celsius and on Wednesday morning it was at 15.4 degree Celsius.
Even the maximum temperature, which was hovering around 34 degrees in the first week of January has dropped considerably. It was at 30.6 degree Celsius on Tuesday and 29.9 degree Celsius on Wednesday.
As per the forecast, temperature is expected to drop further in isolated places.
