Leader of the opposition in the Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitely on Sunday took a dig at the Centre for continuing the dialogue process with Pakistan, despite the recent gruesome killing of two Indian soldiers on the Line of Control (LoC) and said India needs to be a little more aggressive in its approach.

“Mere hope cannot be our policy. Continued engagement will not help resolve issues. We need to understand that we are dealing with a rough state and we should take a tough position,” he stated at an interaction with a group of twitterati organised by Samagra Vikas Trust.

Writing off any chance of resorting to warmongering, the senior BJP leader said, suspension of talks was one of the options before India to mount pressure on Pakistan.
