After years of wait for new artillery guns, the Indian Army is likely to get two new 155 mm field Howitzer guns by March for trial, a senior official said on Monday.
The ordnance factory in Jabalpur was manufacturing artillery guns based on Bofors technology, which has been at the Defence Ministry’s disposal since mid-1980s, but gathered dust for the political sensitivity associated with the Bofors deal.
