On a deadly mission

Hanna’ stars Saoirse Ronan, Eric Bana, Tom Hollander, Olivia Williams and Jason Flemyng. The main character, Hanna, was raised by her father in isolation, in the wilds of North Finland — intensely trained to be the perfect assassin. After being dispatched on a mission across Europe and tracked by a ruthless intelligence agent, she faces dilemma. And on her journey, many uncomfortable facts are brought to her knowledge. Tune in to ‘Hanna’ on Sony Pix at 6.43 pm on February 6. 

Pitted against an army

Catch ‘American Ninja’ on WB at 7.05 pm on February 6. In this film, Joe Armstrong (played by Michael Dudikoff) is a drifter who worships martial arts and is interested in little else. 

A judge sends him to an army base in the Philippines as punishment. 

On a mission driving a convoy, a group of rebels attack his platoon, try to steal the weapons and kidnap Patricia (essayed by Judie Aronson), the base colonel’s daughter. 

Joe rescues Patricia and takes her back to the base — but the rest of the soldiers are killed. 

His superiors decide that Joe is a coward and incompetent to boot. In the meanwhile, the rebel leader sends an army of ninjas to kill Joe and kidnap Patricia.

Escaping a terrible curse

Watch ‘The Unborn’ on Zee Studio at 8.35 pm on February 6. 

The flick stars Odette Yustman, Gary Oldman, Cam Gigandet, Meagan Good, James Remar and Rhys Coiro. 

The story is about Casey Bell, who hates her mother for leaving her as a child. But when inexplicable things start to happen to her, Casey begins to understand why she left. 

Plagued by merciless dreams and a tortured ghost that haunts her waking hours, she must turn to the only spiritual advisor — Sendak — who can make it stop. 

With Sendak’s help, Casey uncovers the source of a family curse dating back to Nazi Germany — a creature with the ability to inhabit anyone or anything, that is getting stronger with each possession. 

With the curse unleashed, her only chance at survival is to shut a doorway from beyond our world — a doorway that was pried open by someone who was never born.

A suspicious conversation

'The House on Carroll Street’ airs on MGM at 7.15 pm on February 6. 

In this movie, Emily works as a photo editor in New York in the 1950s. 

She loses her job when she refuses to divulge the names of certain people to the Senate Un-American Activities Committee, when they ask her to. 

She takes a job as a companion to Miss Venable, an old woman. 

A couple of FBI men are still after her, though. One day, while taking a break in the garden, Emily cannot help but hear a conversation from the house next door.
 Conducted in German, it is about smuggling ex-Nazi scientists. 

When Emily shares her suspicions with Cochran, one of the agents harassing her, he decides to investigate.

 The movie stars Kelly McGillis, Jeff Daniels, Mandy Patinkin, Jessica Tandy and Jonathan Hogan.
