<p>Following allegations of irregularities in distribution of houses under the Karnataka Slum Development Board scheme in Laggere in Bangalore, the State government has ordered a CID probe into the matter.<br /><br /></p>.<p>BJP MLA M Srinivas on Thursday alleged that the Housing department had sold/distributed houses built by the Slum Board to unauthorised people. Housing Minister V Somanna launched a counter attack on the MLA. He said, of the 2,800 applications received, 400 applications have been referred to the Board by Srinivas himself.<br /><br />The minister agreed that the “truth should come out” and seconded that the government order a probe into the controversy.</p>
