Pay revision for KSRTC employees

The State government is soon likley to issue an order on merger of 86.75 per cent of dearness allowance with the basic pay of the employees of all the four state transport corporations.

The decision was arrived at during a meeting of the Joint Committee of Trade Unions of Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation, KSRTC management and officials of the Transport department.

The government had promised merger of DA with the basic pay following a stir by the employees in September 2012. It was also agreed that the new pay would be effective from April 2, 2012. However, it has now been decided that the revised pay would come into force from January 1, 2013.

 “The balance of money towards merger of DA for seven months (from April to December 2012) will be paid to employees in the form of gift vouchers during Deepavali this year,” said a member of the Joint Committee.
