Pick your look for this Spring/Summer

The make-up trends this spring and summer will be focusing on the eyes and lips. With fresh colours, textures and transparent effects, trends in 2013 promise to give you a different look.

The nude look gives you an illusion of an unmade, natural face with high shine glossy or pink lips. One can also wear neutral lipstick shades which give a little extra glow with gold-hued gloss.

According to Shival Ghai, artistic director from Xpressions, “Tinted moisturisers (also known as the foundation) and BB cream (or beauty blemish cream) are in this spring summer. These creams help in maintaining the even tone of the skin and are not loud, help in maintaining a natural look and one doesn’t even need any face powder over them.”

As far as the eyes are concerned blue, pink and purple eyeshadows along with kajal are in vogue. Bronze, peach and candy pink are a hit this season for the lips. These colours give the lips a fuller effect.

“Adding to the looks is a tint cream blush for the cheeks, which stays the whole day. Other add ons include the geometrical liners which give an out-of-the-box look,” adds Shival.

Though a lot of the make-up on the ramp this season features fresh and bare faces, make-up artists are experimenting with electric blues, lilacs and geometric cat eyes also, along with glittery lips that complement equally colorful and artistically designed collections.

So this season go for luminous face with just a hint of colour to enhance those features.
