A committee has been appointed to select the candidates in Chikmagalur. The committee includes Ranjan Ajithkumar, T D Somesh, Devaraj, C H Lokesh, D S Ashok, Aradhya, Jameel Ahammed, Thammaiah, Hanif, Manjulamma, Rukmini, Shivamurthy, Ravikumar, Paramesh.
Stating that the JD(S) has no future in the State, he said that everything is not fine inside the BJP.

Former chief minister D V Sadananda Gowda had walked out of the meeting held to discuss on the strategies for the elections. He is also likely to join the JD(S). BJP leaders Ananthkumar, K S Eshwarappa should be dismissed from the BJP, to allow others to join the BJP.
