Visually-impaired cricketer Shekar Nayak feted

Rajarajeshwari temple trust in the city felicitated Shekar Nayak, who had taken part in cricket World Cup team for blind recently.

Students of Samarthana Trust and office-bearers were also felicitated. Trust office-bearer Vasudevachar said Samarthana Trust has been providing employment to handicapped children along with imparting education.

Vasanth from Samarthana Trust said there are opportunities for all.

After accepting the felicitation, Shekar Nayak said the government had promised of Rs 5 lakh to the winners of World Cup. Apart from Rs 3 lakh, the government had not fulfilled its promise of providing government job.
