Children's panel to deliberate on RTE

Following the High Court direction to the State Government to create a platform for all stakeholders to discuss the implementation of Right To Education (RTE) Act, the Karnataka State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (KSCPCR) has organised a round table conference involving all the stakeholders on March 9 in Bangalore.

The KSCPCR Chairman, H R Umesh Aradhya told presspersons here on Tuesday that the department of Women and Child Development will compile a list of all the stakeholders and send it to KSCPCR, prior to the conference.

The stakeholders invited for the round table conference will include parents’ associations, private school management associations, minority educational institutions associations, teachers associations, government departments, civil society groups, RTE activists and CBSE and ICSE school managements.

The conference will be held here at the Shikshakara Sadan. Those interested to participate in the conference can contact 080 - 2211 5291 for details.
