<p>Two policemen were today shot dead by militants in Kupwara district of north Kashmir.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Constables Santosh Kumar and Azad Chand of Indian Reserve Police (IRP) were shot at by the militants from point blank range in Handwara town, 75 kms from here, police said.<br /><br />The duo, who were on routine beat duty in the north Kashmir township, were rushed to a nearby sub-district hospital where the doctors declared them dead on arrival.<br /><br />Security forces cordoned off the area immediately and launched a manhunt for the assailants</p>
