'Manasa Manthana' concludes

He also shared the award for the best marketing paper with Guru Darshan of AIMIT whose paper was on ‘Indian rural markets: Issues and challenges for corporates’. Bharath P of A J Institute of Management (AJIM), who presented a paper on “Micro Finance: Role of Self Help Groups in capital formation,” won the award for the best Finance paper while the award for best Human Resources paper went to Aparna Kamath of Institute of management and Educational Research on the topic ‘Impact of recession on training and development’. The awards were presented to the winners at the valedictory function of the competition in which Director of AIMIT Fr Denzil Lobo, Principal of St Aloysius College Fr Swebert D’Silva, Dean of AIMIT Dr S Sridhar and faculty co-ordinator Sumitha Achar took part.

Earlier in the morning, Professor at Mangalore University Dr Mallikarjunappa inaugurated the programme. In his keynote address, he attributed the recovery of past recessions to the policymakers. He also highlighted how the US economy grew from the various phases in its economy from recession, depression throughout history. He also spoke about the evolution of Financial Institution, and how easy money credit helps in solving the problem of recession and move towards economic growth. The reasons for recession and different approach to solve the problem were also addressed.
