The High Court on Thursday directed the Lokayukta police to file its objections to the petition filed by Deputy Chief Minister K S Eshwarappa seeking to quash proceedings against him in the Lokayukta court.
Eshwarappa has contended that the sanction granted to proceed against him was illegal and arbitrary.
The proceedings were initiated following a complaint filed by Kumar charging Eshwarappa with amassing wealth disproportionate to his known sources of income.
