Michelle Obama graces second Vogue cover

Last Updated 15 March 2013, 12:15 IST

First Lady Michelle Obama has graced the cover of fashion bible Vogue for the second time.

The 49-year-old shows off her now-trademark hairdo as well as her long-admired, toned arms in a blue and maroon Reed Krakoff sheath, plucked straight from her very own closet, on the cover of the April issue of the magazine.

Photographer Annie Leibovitz shot Michelle, reported Huffington Post.

Although Michelle and her husband of 20 years, US President Barack Obama, certainly have a lot on their plate, she said that it all comes back to their little girls Malia, 14, and Sasha, 11.

"Our job is, first and foremost, to make sure our family is whole. You know, we have small kids; they're growing every day," Michelle said.

"But I think we were both pretty straightforward when we said, 'Our No 1 priority is making sure that our family is whole'," she added.

The First Lady points out in the interview that most of the couple's friends, socially speaking, are parents as well.

"The stresses and the pressures of this job are so real that when you get a minute, you want to give that extra energy to your 14- and 11-year-old," Obama mused.

The April issue of Vogue hits stands March 26.
