Fan hurls stones at GK

The I-League Second Division clash between Southern Samity and Kalighat Milan Sangha at the Bangalore Football Stadium witnessed an unsavoury incident after a fan hurled stones.

The match had to be halted as a little after the half-hour mark, stones were hurled at Kalighat goalkeeper Suvam Sen. The missiles, however, missed the target.

Officials and cops quickly swung into action and the game resumed after a five-minute break.

According to a Karnataka State Football Association official, the fan had asked Suvam for water and being refused, he chose to retaliate by hurling stones at the keeper.
