Man robbed of Rs 4 lakh cash

Mukund Rao, who works with Kannada film producer K Manju, told the police that around 11 am, he withdrew Rs 4.5 lakh cash from Karnataka Bank on ninth Cross, second phase JP Nagar, and was heading into the city on his motorcycle.

Two bike-borne youths approached him from behind and told him there was some dirt on his shirt and also offered a bottle of water to clean it. While he was cleaning his shirt, the duo made away with his bag containing cash, according to the police.

The suspects, who spoke in Kannada, were in their mid-20s, Rao told the police.
