<p>Geeta, 20, a newlywed woman, hung herself to death at her residence in K P Agrahara, on Monday afternoon. <br /><br />A native of Malavalli, Mandya, she was married to Raghavendra, a labourer with a tie-making factory in City. Geeta was found hanging in her bedroom by her mother-in-law. <br />Geeta’s parents have alleged that constant harassment over dowry led their daughter to take the extreme step.<br /><br />K P Agrahara Police have registered cases against Raghavendra and his mother under Sections 306 of the Indian Penal Code for abetment to suicide. <br />They have also filed them under 498A for harassment and under the Dowry Prohibition Act and arrested them.<br /><br />Driver mowed down<br /><br />A driver with National Travels, Rajendra, 65, who was asleep under the shade of a bus, was run over by another bus on Monday evening.<br /><br />The bus had been reversing out of a garage inside the Wipro Campus at Electronic City. <br />National Travels has a contract with Wipro to bring and drop its employees. <br /><br />According to police, the incident occured at a garage inside Wipro Campus near Gate 6, where all private buses that fetch and drop the company's employees are parked. <br />Electronic City Traffic Police have registered a case. <br /><br />The driver, whose bus ran over Rajendra, abandoned the vehicle and fled from the scene. <br /></p>
