Engineer hand in glove with shop owners: Members

AEE Malleshappa was attending a janaspandana programme in Goluru hobli when the agitated people gheraoed the engineer. He was later brought to office and locked up.
Alleging gross violation of High Court order, members said that some of the officials were involved in politics.

The members said that High Court had passed an order favouring 100 feet main road in Bapegalli and corresponding widening works. Accordingly compensations were paid to shop owners and building owners. The government had also passed a notification. However, the Public Works Department’s officials are still furthering the dates, they added.

Malleshappa in collusion with the shop and building owners is furthering the dates of road widening works, expressed protesters who have threatened of dire consequences. Circle Inspector Siddaramegowda, Sub-Inspector J N Anand Kumar and Tabrealam Pasha provided police security.
