The students of Oxford College of Engineering showcased their talents at the college cultural fest, Milana, which was held recently on the campus.

Rajat, a student, says that he enjoyed himself thoroughly. “The fest was amazing and I had a lot of fun with my friends. The programmes were well organised and worth watching. The organising team had made a great effort in putting together the fest. It was a good way to kickstart the session,” he says.

The fest included events such as classical and western dances, mime and group singing. Some other programmes like debate, rangoli making, collage, face-painting, dumb charades etc were organised a few days before the fest.

Tauqreer Raza, a student, notes that the fest had a wide variety of events, which made it extremely interesting. “I attended the festival right from beginning to end and many of my friends took part in the competitions that were held a few days before the fest. My friends and I cheered our favourite participants and it was like a battle where students had to prove themselves. It was fun to see some of our teachers taking a break from their classes and enjoying themselves along with us,” he adds.

The participants were judged by professionals. “This was one of the few occasions where all the students and teachers gathered together. We also got to see some new faces. The fest also acted as a stepping stone to the future for the participants. The judges advised them on how to improve their skills. It was a good way to improve and hone the skills of those who wanted to channelise their talents and take them up professionally. I hope that we have many such fests in the future,” says Ranjith.
