'Parkinsons's Day'

Parkinsons Disease Society of Karnataka, together with the Departments of Neurology and Neurosurgery, Nimhans Hospital, have organised a programme for patients with Parkinson’s Disease to commemorate ‘World Parkinsons’s Day’ on April 7, 9 am to 2 pm at Ashwini Hall, Nimhans Hospital, Hosur Road. P Satish Chandra, director and vice-chancellor of Nimhans will be the chief guest.

A free check up is being offered with prior registration. Individuals can register their name to avail this facility by calling any of the following telephone numbers on April 6 before 5 pm: 22341224/5, 9480696631, 9480696636. Topics will cover various aspects of Parkinson’s disease-medical, surgical and neuro-rehabilitation.

A panel of experts will also be available to answer individual questions on a one-to-one basis after the programme. Entry is free.
