'JD(S) creating unnecessary controversy'

In a press release issued by the trust, T Sommanna, the member, has said: “The sites were presented to the undivided Janata Dal by Mudasir Aslam Mohammed Shah Faisal, who was an admirer of former minister Byregowda. After the demise of the leader, the sites were transferred to the trust with the intention of building a school for physically-handicapped school.”

The release further stated that the JD(S) party, which is raising objections presently, was not even in existence in 1996-97.
