Sharma told reporters.<br /><br />"We have been giving her a liquid and semi-solid diet since yesterday," he said.<br />Asked if the girl would be able to lead a normal life in future, Dr. Sharma said doctors were trying their best to ensure that this would be so to the extent possible. <br /><br />He said the child was too young to understand what had happened to her but counselling would be provided if the need arose.<br /><br />The five-year-old girl was abducted April 15 and kept hostage in a flat owned by the attacker. She was sexually assaulted and brutalised, leading to widespread protests in the national capital.</p>
