Workshop on critical care held

Mangalore City Corporation Commissioner Dr K N Vijayaprakash stressed on the importance of ‘hands on’ experience in critical care and also the importance of a holistic approach in patient care.

Prof  B N Chandramani, Principal of Devraj Urs College of Nursing released a dictionary for Nursing Personnel authored by Sr Jacintha, Principal of Fr Muller College of Nursing. She said that critical care is the pinnacle of teamwork and critical nursing comes foremost in patient care.

Then a set of ‘ICU protocols for endotracheal suctioning’ prepared by the department of physiotherapy was released by FMCI Administrator Rev Fr Stany Tauro. Rev Fr Patrick Rodrigues, Director of Father Muller Charitable Institutions presided over the function.
