JOIN USTaking fashion and glamour to a whole new level, actress Harshika Poonacha along with fashion choreographer Bhuvaan Ponana launched their event management company, ‘GlamGod Fashion and Events’, amidst much fanfare. Actors like Ramesh Aravind and Ajay Rao, along with many others, came in to support the young actress in her new initiative.
Harshika too was on top of the world. Attired in a red dress, the actress welcomed everyone with open arms and even posed for the shutterbugs. “While acting is still going to be a part of me, I always wanted to branch out and try out different things. That’s when this opportunity came my way. Through this company, we plan to promote young talent in the fashion industry and give them a platform to showcase their art. I remember when I stepped into the industry I had no background in films and took each day as it came and worked hard to get this far. So I want to give something back. With this launch, I hope to do just that,” says Harshika.
The guests and her team, surprised her with a cake for her birthday. The actress was also sportive and played along, when they smeared cake on her face. “It was one of the best birthdays ever. Not only did I get to celebrate it with people I love but I also entered a new phase of my life,” she adds.
The evening also had a fashion show where designer Reshma Kunhi showcased her latest ‘Spring-Summer’ Collection. The show saw male and female models, dressed in ethnic clothes like long kurtas, sherwanis and dhotis in bright summer colours. The show also had Indo-western attire like kurtis, smart jackets and well-fitted pants.
With only ten unique creations on the ramp, the audience were left craving for more. “Our main motto is to simplify fashion and provide an opportunity to all the budding fashion talents in the City. The focus will not only be on clothes but also on hair stylists, make-up and also models,” sums up Bhuvaan.
