The cakes are not only delicious but also a treat to the eyes. Sitaram, one of the owners of the eatery, says that they specialise in making cakes. “As compared to other places where customers have to order cakes a day in advance, we make cakes in 20 minutes. The cakes can be designed and customised according to the taste and requirements of the customers. Some of our pastries are unique and cannot be found anywhere else,” he informs.
A variety of pastries are available, not to mention savouries like cookies and buns. These include chocolate truffle, Irish coffee, chocolate fudge, ‘kit-kat pastry’ which is one of their specials, choco vanilla and ‘choco oroe’, made with cookies. These are quite delicious and crunchy. Chocoholics can also dig into ‘chocolate fantasy’. Made with thick chocolate, it has chocolate shavings and nuts.
The combination of chocolate cream and nuts make for one of the most delicious desserts that must be tried.
Mahindra, the pastry chef, says that the blueberry cheese cake is one of their specialities.
“We use a blueberry filling and then add other flavours and toppings. Many customers have given us a positive response. I want to innovate and come up with better flavours,” he notes.
The best part about the eatery is that since it has a live kitchen, one can see the chefs and their assistants sorting the ingredients, whipping the cream and topping the sponge cake with oodles of fresh cream.
The savouries are fresh and there is a lot to choose from. Bombay khara, salt cookie, ‘Bombay pepper’, mushroom puff, badam cookie, ragi cookie, veg puff, coconut crunchy etc are some of the available items. For those who are looking for more variety, there is litchi cheese pastry, fruit pastry, lemon and cheese pastry, apple pie, strawberry butter scotch, almond alfans and many more to choose from. The eatery is light on the pocket and there are a variety of pastries and cakes to be enjoyed. However, cakes are their forte. The designs are unique and the expertise that they have is commendable.
