Busy schedule amidst raging political crisis

He is also inviting top leaders of other parties for the launch of housing programme - Aasare - in the villages of various North Karnataka districts. Union Home Minister P Chidambaram is scheduled to participate in the programme on November 2 in Shirabadagi village of Bagalkot district.

Aasare will be formally launched on November 1 in Amaragola and Kuruvina Koppa villages of Ron, Gadag taluk. Sri Balagangadharanath Swamy will lay the foundation. He has also scheduled programmes in villages of Koppal, Bijapur, Belgaum and Dharwad. But he has no programme in Bellary though he is going to stay at Jindal guest house in that district.
On October 31, he is scheduled to visit Sri Kukke Subramanya temple in the morning and return to Bangalore in the afternoon.

While interacting with reporters on Friday, the CM said the government has spent Rs 750 crore under the NCCF, and the Centre has sanctioned Rs 500 crore of the Rs 1000 crore it promised. The aim is to build 3 lakh houses. Funds have been organised for building one lakh houses and another Rs 500 crore is required for providing infrastructure facilities in the new layouts to be formed in the villages chosen for relocating the people of the flood-hit areas.

He said that he would again go before the people to seek funds and the exercise will continue till the month end. The works will begin in all 220 villages by the end of next month.

The CM said he would be leaving for Delhi in a couple of days to invite the PM, Advani and Abdul Kalam among others.
