<p>In a shocking incident, a 10-year-old boy named Tauhit was confined to a 20 kg weight bound by chain for being “very naughty” at a madrasa in Malavalli.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Upon receiving information, tahsildar Rajesh turn informed Dr Diwakar of District Child Protection Unit. <br /><br />Both visited the spot on Tuesday and rescued the boy with the help of the police. <br />The boy was later handed over to his mother. <br /><br />Tauhit’s parents and the school authorities have justified that the boy was bound to the weight as he was very naughty. <br /><br />Case booked<br /><br />Speaking to Deccan Herald, Child welfare committee district president Venkatesh said a case has been booked against the parents and the madrasa.<br /><br /> A complaint has been lodged at rural police station.</p>
