Undeterred by the Maoist attack on its leaders, the Congress in Chhattisgarh has decided to resume its “Parivartan Yatra” from the spot in Sukma district where a party convoy was ambushed on May 25.
“We have decided to restart the yatra from the place it had to be discontinued. The date of re-launching the yatra will be announced later,” said Congress general secretary B K Hariprasad.
Hariprasad, who is the Congress office-bearer in charge of Chhattisgarh, said that party workers would pay tributes to victims, including former leader of opposition in the assembly Mahendra Karma, state Congress chief Nand Kumar Patel, his son Dinesh on June 6-7.
