The minister for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, who is also the district in-charge disclosed this during her inspection visit to Talkad in Mysore district on Sunday. The visit was scheduled in view of Panchalinga Darshana. While the officers and netas accompanying her were served with a sumptuous lunch, Shobha restricted herself to a few slices of watermelon. When asked, she said that she has undertaken ‘vratha’ replicating what she did during the ‘Nada Habba’ Dasara.

All is well
“Everybody were apprehensive about the success of Dasara. But, the event was a success without any hiccup. Likewise, I am at it again both for the welfare of State and success of Panchalinga Darshana”, said Shobha with a smile on her face. When asked about the squabbling in the ruling party that has sparked hectic political activities in the State, the minister said that all was well.

Earlier Shobha inspected the developmental works that are being carried out to facilitate visitors for “Panchalinga Darshana,” scheduled to be held for a week from November 16. The event would be a low-key affair with the floods ravaging North Karnataka. Cultural programmes and special illumination of temples have been cancelled.
