JOIN USA 17-year old pre-university student was found hanging by a veil in the bedroom of her grandmother’s house in Siddapura on Wednesday afternoon.
Sangeetha, police said, was reportedly upset over her father Venkatesh Murthy’s objection to her working part-time. Murthy thought that working part-time disturbed Sangeetha’s studies. He even had an argument with her the previous night. Police suspect her father’s “rigid” stand might have driven Sangeetha to suicide.
In the afternoon, the deceased went to her grandmother’s house at Venkata Reddy Layout, a few blocks away from her home, after her parents left for work. Her alleged suicide came to light in the evening when her uncle came calling. Siddapura police have registered a case of unnatural death.
