Inflow into KRS improves

The KRS reservoir in Srirangapatna taluk of Mysore district saw a marginal rise in the water level since Friday night. The level stood at 65.3 feet on Saturday evening, against the maximum level of 124.80 feet.

The inflow in the dam stood at 5,496 cusecs on Saturday evening. The outflow was 873 cusecs. The water storage in the reservoir was 5.6 tmc feet. The water level in the corresponding period last year was 72.32 feet, with the inflow and outflow being 311 cusecs and 204 cusecs, respectively.

At the Harangi reservoir in Kodagu district, the water level stood at 2810.65 feet, against the maximum level of 2,859 feet. The level in the corresponding time last year was 2802.35 feet. The catchment areas of the dam are receiving good rains. There have been heavy showers throughout Kodagu district.
