Infrastructure: Legislator emphasises public participation

Speaking after launching the work on widening of Manchanabele-NH 7 and Nandi roads in the taluk on Monday, he said that roads constitute public property and people shoulder collective responsibility of ensuring the good condition of the infrastructure. “The officers and the contractors share the responsibility of ensuring good quality work. A healthy society would evolve if every member discharges his responsibilities to the hilt,” legislator Bachegowda noted.

The legislator disclosed that a sum of Rs 27 lakh has been sanctioned for widening of the Manchanabele road and Rs 17 lakh for widening of the Nandi road.
Zilla Panchayat member G R Narayanaswamy, Kolar Chikkaballapur Milk Producers Union Limited (Komul) director K V Nagaraj, Taluk Panchayat member Pillappa and others were present on the occasion.
