In a shocking incident, three men, all brothers and the owners of a brick kiln, allegedly raped a girl after her parents, labourers at the brick kiln, demanded their due wages, in Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar district, about 450 kilometers from here.

The culprits barged into the thatched house of the victim on Sunday night and allegedly gang raped her after tying her parents, according to the police sources.

According to reports, the parents of the girl worked at the brick kiln as petty labourers and also lived there in a thatched hut. They only received partial wages for their work and the rest was kept by the owners. So the owners owed them a lot of money.

The father of the victim approached the owner on Sunday and asked them to pay him the due wages that amounted to Rs 23,000, reports said. He also threatened to go to the police if his wages was not paid.

Apparently furious over the threat, the three men barged into his house on Sunday night and allegedly gang raped his daughter after tying him and his wife with rope, sources said. They also threatened to kill them if they dared to report the matter to the police.

Undeterred by the threat, the victim and her parents met the senior district police officials on Monday and narrated the incident. The police swung into action and registered a case against the three brothers.

The victim was sent for medical examination. The culprits are absconding and a manhunt has been launched to nab them, sources said.
