Car-borne miscreants rob senior citizen

The miscreants who came in two cars intercepted the victim M P Gangappa (83) of Kaggere village who was on his way to his farm in Bisinele village, in his vehicle.

The miscreants assaulted Gangappa and robbed him of a cash of Rs 51,000 and two cellphones.
The miscreants forced him to contact his daughter Sanjeevamma over the mobile and ask her to give them his cheque book.  They later on collected the cheque book  and Rs 1.49 lakh at his house in Kaggere, and came back to Markonahalli cross and got the cheque book signed by Gangappa, forcefully. They later tied the hands and legs of Gangappa and drove away in his vehicle.

The vehicle was found abandoned in Pandavapura police station limits. Public who noticed the vehicle brought the matter to the notice of the police, who later rescued Gangappa.
PSI Shivareddy has registered a complaint.  ASI Shashikumar, CPI B K Shekhar visited the spot and have formed two teams to nab the miscreants.
