Athletes from the corporate sector and runners of all ages will come together again for the second leg of the Ajmera Thump! Corporate Sports Challenge event, organised by Life Is Calling - Sports and Electronics City Industrial Association (ELCIA) at the International Institute of Information Technology here on Sunday morning.

A carnival atmosphere celebrating health and lifestyle will be the order of the day as over 300 runners will compete in six categories with the men’s and women’s 10k being the blue riband events of the competition. Rahul B and Bhavana Aswani are the defending champions in the men’s and women’s 10k runs respectively.

The former had claimed the men’s title with a timing of 39:09 while the latter bagged the women’s crown at 52:02 on June 9.

What would add to the excitement on the morrow would be the 10k runs in the men’s and women’s senior (46-60 yrs) category with the old warhorses bringing their grit and determination on the big occasion.
