JOIN USThe students of Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication recently kick-started their new academic year in style — through ‘Symphonic Rhapsody’, their student council installation ceremony.
A touch of glamour was added to the event by Milind Soman, model and actor, who was the chief guest for the day. During the ceremony, the 11 clubs of the college — each based on a different competency — made their presence felt and were welcomed on board.
The event was a visual treat with the students coming up with a slick fashion show, based on the theme ‘Celebrating Women’. Along with this, there were also dance and
theatre performances. A series of short plays were staged, which depicted the essence of each club in the college.
The oath-taking ceremony by the student council was the highlight of the event. On the occasion, Milind Soman said, “There are millions of people who are less privileged than you. All your talent and education shall be used for their welfare.” The event culminated with him awarding the students who have excelled in various domains of work.
