Jail for former HAL chief manager

B Tulasiraman, former chief manager of Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (Aircraft Division), Bangalore, has been sentenced to three years’ rigorous imprisonment and slapped with a fine of Rs 1 lakh in a disproportionate assets case.

According to CBI, Tulasiraman was accused of acquiring assets worth Rs 18.89 lakh in his name and in the names of his family members, which were disproportionate to his known sources of income. The special judge for CBI cases in Bangalore convicted Tulasiraman.
