Farmer hospitalised after bear attack

A farmer was seriously injured after being attacked by a bear at G Ramenahalli village in the taluk on Wednesday.

Ningappa, has been admitted to Hassan government hospital, after suffering injuries in the face.
NIngappa, had visited his farm early in the morning to check whether wild boars were damaging crops in his farm. He saw a bear and a wild boar quareling in his farm and threw a stone to drive away the animals. The stone struck the bear, infuriarating it. The bear attacked the farmer and injured his face.

He was rushed to a primary healthcare centre in Arasikere for first aid and was then transferred to the district hospital in Hassan.
