There are few things that better suit a rainy day than a refreshing cup of tea at Chaaye Stall. It’s the perfect place for tea lovers, especially since the tea here is served in traditional khullads or matkas. Situated on the ground floor of Raheja Plaza, Chaaye Stall is very cosy and the perfect place to hang out with friends on a lazy day.

The ambience is delightful with attractive decor and many customers like to spend some time at the eatery with a cup of tea. The music played here is mellow as well, allowing customers to soothe themselves with a cup of Sulemani Chaaye or Ginger Chaaye.

The menu here offers a wide range of dishes at affordable prices. The variety of teas include ‘Smell of Soil’ that is served in a mud tea cup; Sulemani Chaaye served with a blend of fresh lemon and mint; Ginger Chaaye and Elaichi Chaaye. The must-haves at this place are the ‘Queen of Spices’, which is tea mixed with exotic spices and the plain and simple Cutting Chaaye. For people conscious of their health, this place offers the option of a healthy ‘Go Green’ green tea as well.

In terms of snacks, there are tasty delights for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. One can enjoy hot, crunchy and tasty pakodas and kachoris here. Apart from this, it offers an interesting variety of add-ons like tangy imli chutney and tartar sauce. The speciality of this place are the hash browns, which are made with baked potatoes and cheese. The chicken nuggets and aloo and paneer pakodas are delicious as well. Along with tea, the eatery also offers coffee and a few coolers.

Chaaye Stall was opened just six months ago by Anoop Mohan and Anuraj. Anoop says, “Chaaye Stall was started to provide tea lovers a very ethnic environment, where they can sit, enjoy tea with friends and revive memories from the past. The response has been pretty good. We are picking up by the day and are also planning to make changes as and when required, pertaining to the ambience and menu”.

Even though it is new, this place attracts plenty of corporates and college-goers because of the variety of the food it offers at nominal rates. Apitha, a professional, says, “I visit this place with my friends often. We love hanging out here as it is quite homely. My personal favourite is the Ginger Chaaye and a plate of hot aloo pakodas.

This place is certainly good value for money.” Tanmay Thakur, the head chef, says, “We make sure that our customers are provided with the best cup of tea and so, we prepare it with quality products.” Chaaye Stall is located near Lifestyle, Raheja Plaza, Commissariat Road, Ashok Nagar.
