To achieve this Sony is aggressively focusing on this category with introduction of a new marketing strategy - unique products and a brand ambassador.

Sony said since Vaio X is 655 gms and about half-inch thin, it is setting a new benchmark in notebook technology as the world’s lightest notebook.  For casual computing, Sony has introduced netbook VAIO W with improved specifications. It has also chosen the film star Kareen Kapoor as its brand ambassador.

Sony IndiaDivision Head, IT, Gaming & Mobile Business, Sachin Thapar said, “Sony as a brand has evolved significantly and Kareena’s blend of spirit and style, iconic status, success and charm match strongly with Sony brand.”
