NNG targets 50% share in navigation

Hungary-based navigation company NNG on Tuesday said that it wants to garner 50 per cent market share in India in overall navigation devices.

Speaking on the sidelines of launching new Personal Navigation Device (PND) for Indian roads in partnership with Ayana Navigation Solutions (ANS), the company's Vice-President of EEU and Emerging Markets Peter Bolesza said that the navigation market in India is still much untapped and the company targets to get a chunk of the market.

“India has a diverse demography and with increased urbanization, navigation solutions have become the need of the hour,” Bolesza said.

At present, the company is in partnership with Renault, Tata and Volkswagen. Bolesza said that in US and European markets, where 20 per cent of the cars sold each year have personal navigation devises and he expects India to reach that level in next 5-10 years.
