Siddu to attend economic meet in China

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will leave for Dalian in China on September 9 to attend the World Economic Forum. This will be his first foreign tour after taking over as he chief minister

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a Janata Darshan programme at his home office “Krishna,” here on Tuesday, Siddaramaiah said that during his five-day stay in Dalian, he will showcase the investment opportunities in Karnataka. Besides, international business tycoons will be invited for the Global Investor Meet (GIM) scheduled to be held in Bangalore next year, he said.

Pension adalats

Replying to queries, Siddaramaiah said all assistant commissioners have been directed to hold pension adal­ats at the hobli-level on a regular basis to address grievances of beneficiaries of various government social security schemes. Those who have stopped receiving pensions can apply afresh.

The chief minister said he will take up an inspection of Bangalore City shortly. Asphalting of road and filling up of potholes will be taken up after the rains subsides, he added.
Siddaramaiah said he would take up appointments to boards and corporations after consulting the Congress high command.
